 notes:  Around 1827, the Pleasant Vernon family migrated from Rutherford Co NC to Bledsoe Co
        TN settling on a farm near Pikeville.

         In 1860, Bledsoe County, Tennessee, Pleasant and his boys were working
        a rather large farm. Octavia and Nancy were seamstresses.

          1880: Caswell is listed as the head of household, while siblings Thomas,
                Octavia, and Nancy are farming or taking care of the household.
